The veshti is a long piece of cloth that's wrapped around the  midriff and legs. It's  generally made of cotton or silk and is worn with a white or cream colored shirt, known as angavastram . Traditional Dress of Kerala   Kerala , located in the southern tip of India, is a state known for its unique culture and traditions. One aspect of Kerala's culture that stand out is the traditional dress worn by the people of the state.    The traditional dress of Kerala for men is Mundu  , which is a white unstitched garment that's worn against the  midriff with a matching shirt known as Veshti . The Mundu is  frequently worn with a cotton or silk capelet known as Mundu Neriyathu , which is draped over the shoulder. The Veshti is also worn with a capelet known as the Angavastram  , which is draped over the left shoulder.  For women, the traditional dress of Kerala is the Saree . It's a garment  conforming of a long blockish piece of cloth which is draped over the body. The Saree is worn with a blouse which is known as Choli and a petticoat known as Pavada .
